But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered. - Jonah 4:7

Isn't it awesome that God can prepare a worm and smite a gourd!

I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the LORD. - Haggai 2:17

If this dont put the fear of God in man nothing will. But for the grace of God, we would all be smoted with blasting and mildew. What an awesome God!

And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him. - Numbers 22:22

If God is mad at you, you better watch it! He will ride your butt, even in front of your servants!

And they laded their asses with the corn, and departed thence. - Genesis 42:26

I can't even picture this, but it sounds funny! It shows that God does have a sense of humour!

Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing: - Judges 13:4

Here's a good lesson. Don't ever drink and always wash your food.

Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge. - Proverbs 19:25

Wow! Gods wisdom passes all human understanding!

And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them. II Kings 2:23-24

Wow! Better watch out kids! Respect your elders or God might send a bear to tare you up!

But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you? Isaiah 36:12

Always thank God for your food! It could be much worst!

Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death. - Exodus 22:19

ALWAYS tell the truth! Even lying to an animal is sinful!

The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with  The scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed. - Deuteronomy 28:27

OBEY THE LORD or you might end up with the botch, or emerods, or a scab. God is mighty and He won't hesitate to punish wrongdoers!

The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head. - Deuteronomy 28:35

Again. Obey the Lord and avoid the botch. It's simple.

And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. - Luke 15:20

This man really loved his son! He got up and kissed his son, even after falling down on his neck! Jesus loves you to! Even after you made Him die on the cross!

And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. - Acts 9:5

If you are not right with Jesus, don't even bother kicking against the pricks of the world. First, get right with God, then kick the pricks.

And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost. - Acts 12:23

ALWAYS give God the glory, or He might smote you with worms and ghosts.

Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. - Acts 13:46

Meditate always upon the Lord, even at work. Here Paul and Barnabas discuss the Word of God while waxing a boat.
